1. I choosed the article which i want to analysis is on The Crisis Magazine. When I looked at the related introduction about The Crisis, i saw two key points: W.E.B. Du Bois and Black education, i really interested in those two points. The name of W.E.B. Du Bois was appeared in our Module Blog and required readings, and i also wonder he as a high-educated Black how to change the situation for other Blacks through education or other methods. So i choose it immediately.

2. The specific article i choosed was some schools' advertisements, the link was above. I found all these three advertisements were published in 1918, the one mentioned North Carolina, the other two didn't mention the specific place. I think the initial intended audience were those Blacks who wanted to improve their skills and pursue high-educated.
3. We knew that "W.E.B. Du Bois (1868–1963) was the founding editor of The Crisis, the official publication of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, (NAACP) which presented articles and essays on civil rights, history, politics, and culture.'' According to modole blog " He believed that educated Blacks, who he called the “talented tenth” of the Black community, needed to use their education and training to challenge inequality.'' W.E.B. Du Bois as the first African American to hold a doctorate from Harvard, He hoped to improve the social status of blacks by improving their educational level, so he encouraged set up trainning school which can help Blacks become the useful people in related industry. The advertisenments showed that" Teacher Training, Industrial, Literary, Academic and Collegiate, Commercial, Missionary, Theological, Household Economics and Departments of Music are sucessfully operated.'' Through those trainning school, Blacks indeed improve their skills.
4. The sources were important to people understand U.S. history especially Blacks condion after World War I. The magazine was released in July 1919, it showed that to improve Blacks status, what Blacks did for themselves. They realised the importance of education and they willing to accept new skills to live better, they desire equal rights as Whites.
5. we knew Blacks through trainning school to improve society status in this article, what other ways did they use to acquire equal in society.
Hi Han! The page from The Crisis that you chose to focus on is really interesting because it shows advertisements. This really lets us start to understand the ways that Black activists like W.E.B. DuBois and others in the NAACP were speaking directly to other Black people. As you noted in your analysis of the larger conclusion, it shows us more about Black resistance and what they did for themselves. I agree with @Amany Alderawan's comment above in response to your question, military service in WWI was another crucial way that African Americans fought for equality!
