What do you notice? What do you wonder?
This scrapbook somewhat seemed like a personal journal to me. As I was looking at it I noticed a few stuff and read through it. What I found interesting was how African culture was being passed on and taught to keep it going. I wonder why she added this on her scrapbook, possibly she was very intrigued and interested in this topic.

The main source is a scrapbook by Marjorie P. Collins from Prairie View College.
3. Context:
During this time women were beginning to get an education they have been seeking for. They are also able to get jobs and get into politics. The advertisements were then flourishing and people were attracted to it and began spending money they did not have.
4. Implications/Conclusions:
Going back to what I said, I think this scrapbook seems more of a journal and a bit personal. Its mind boggling how it was like this back then and crazy how this was found. Finding this and reading it seems like an invasion of privacy though we would have never known the history behind it.
5. Discussion Question:
What would you have done if you found this yourself?
I think if I found this myself, I would be likely to be curious and open it. First, by the outer look of the scrapbook, I would assume that it is a very very old book and the author may pass away. The author might have written something in the book to tell us - younger generations. Second, even if the author of the book was still alive, I would still decide to open the book to find out whose book it is and other necessary information to return the book to its owner.
I feel like if I found this myself, I likely wouldn't have been able to stop myself from looking through it. It was such an interesting time, and I feel like this source gave us a very interesting look into the life of someone my age at the time, which I find super interesting.
I am very big on not invading someone's personal privacy. So i would have to think that if i was to have found this i probably would have just looked at it and not have gone much further than that. But i am glad that someone came along and found it and read it or else we wouldn't be here right now doing our post about it.
